Her Non-Scale Victories

Non-Scale Victories

I'll add victories to this list that are not anticipated (see below) as they occur.

Ran 20 minutes without walking (5/27/13)
This run was dreaded! In my journal I wrote, "I made it! Hallelujah!"
Ran 25 minutes without walking (6/5/13)
I was still fearful with some milestones. In my journal I wrote, "25 mins! To God be the glory!"
Completed C25K (6/23/13)
C25K is training program that prepares one to run a 5K race (3.1 mi) by progressing from walks with short runs, to runs with short walks, to runs without walks. I feel victorious. In fact, during many runs I would sing "Victory is Mine" in my head to help me to not quit.

Got my Wii fitness age (34) lower than Fred's (35) for the first time ever! (7/6/13)
Yes, it's just a game; yes, I actually care. Yes, tomorrow my score may go down; Yes, tomorrow Fred will likely beat me. Today, it is a VICTORY! I thought I'd never get younger than 67!

Ran a mile in 13 min 46.8 seconds
So this is a big improvement from my 15 min mile. Go me! (I prayed for this.)

Anticipated Non-Scale Victories

As I am triumphant, I cross one off; in rare moment of courageousness, I'll tack one on.
Run 3 miles, with no walks (3.1 mi, 7/21/13)
Run official 5K race, with no walks (10/13)
Run/walk 4 miles (8/18/13)
Race at least 1 race per quarter for four consecutive quarters
Have solitaire wrap/enhancer fit comfortably (11/13)
Comfortably fit clothes in closet that haven't been worn in a year
I have in mind some emerald green ankle pants (7/5/13) and a brown wrap dress.
Comfortably fit clothes/size that I haven't been able to wear in at least eight years
Comfortably fit clothes/size that I haven't been able to wear in at least twelve years
Run by myself
Fred told me to add this! Right now I don't want to go by myself.
